Satcast

Effective 17 October 2026

Terms of Use

Satcast is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it.

Not an emergency service. Satcast can't contact emergency services or anyone else, and it doesn't connect to satellites. In an emergency, call your local emergency number or use your iPhone's Emergency SOS: press and hold the side button and either volume button. With no signal, your iPhone offers Emergency SOS via satellite.

Predictions

Satellite positions, passes and windows are predictions from published orbit data. They can be wrong or out of date, and a satellite in view doesn't mean your iPhone will connect. Don't rely on Satcast as your only safety plan.

Apple's services

Whether Emergency SOS, Messages, Find My and Roadside Assistance via satellite work depends on Apple, your iPhone, your country, your carrier and conditions where you are. Satcast describes them from Apple's published information and can't change how they work. Satcast isn't made by, endorsed by or affiliated with Apple or Globalstar.

Your safety

You're responsible for your own safety and for the decisions you make outdoors. Tell someone your plans, carry what the trip needs, and check before you go that your iPhone's satellite features are set up.
